Ted’s original passion for art was to become a comic book artist. In his search for further advancement, he moved to Georgia and studied Sequential art at the Savannah college of Art and Design. His first foray as a professional (paid) artist was airbrushing and custom automotive painting in Georgia for 5 years. In 2011, Ted moved back to the Pacific Northwest and started searching for tattoo apprenticeships. He started his career in tattoo at Ink Illusions tattoos (Kirkland, WA) under the mentorship of Tony Callan, whom came from a long line of Seattle tattoo lineage that can be traced all the way back to PA Stephens/Danny Danzl of the Seattle Tattoo Emporium (1st and still operating tattoo shop in Seattle). After 15 years at Ink Illusions, Ted is venturing out to his private studio Get Set Tattoo and looks forward to connecting with new and old clients across the Eastside and the greater Seattle area.
